Were we heard? Yes, we were. I think the voices opposing euthanasia, physician assisted suicide, voluntary assisted dying were possibly better prepared and heard more than ever before. We were given time but it made no difference to the outcome.

Help us Lord to extend the hand of forgiveness and peace to those who hate and seek to hurt. Yes, for celebration to triumph in ourselves and in others. Amen.
And as we are reminded of the contrasts of that first Christmas, we are also conscious of the contrasts of our own time, of the revolt against God’s perfect Creation Order and against humankind created in the Image of God – perhaps no better illustrated by two very recent happenings in France

Yes! Let us lift up our heads and Celebrate. Sing, dance, exchange gifts and good wishes. Forgive, be at peace with one another. There is something bigger than ourselves.
…support, comfort and love is part of what we express at Christmas and which all people can join in just simply because it is Christmas. Why would we want to destroy this?
