The Fear of God
Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. Psalm 2:10 NIV.

…the failure (still) of many Church “leaders” to give leadership on the issues that really matter, giving essential information and guidance on how not to support the passage of evil into law.
But “fear of God” designer wear and shoes – some actually with “fear of God” emblazoned on them – ranging from $500-$1500AUD? I think maybe to stamp the fear of God into the opposing team
On March 11 this year West Australians have a clear moral choice. Will you support Labor and the Greens who are both committed to continue to roll out the “Safe Schools” program ensuring “state” indoctrination of our children… which is “is not about bullying (but) about gender and sexual diversity”.
The implications of forced state indoctrination of our children and grandchildren should scare us.
In light of the fact that we are now given a surprising and unparalleled opportunity to influence the “life” future for the USA let us be faithful in prayer that the Christian people Donald Trump has gathered around him will be able to influence and support a God-honouring basis for his presidency and that he will essentially be or become a “God-fearing” President.
We need to be here for the long term. For when the choice is so obviously between good and evil that Christians and others will want to have Christian party candidates in to influence the major parties and hold the balance of power. We must not grow weary.
We can change the direction of our country in just one election if Christians would vote for us.
But I didn’t know how bad it was. I didn’t know that there was such a differences in good and evil in our political parties.
I had no idea that legalising homosexual marriage could have such a dramatic effect on personal liberties and freedom of speech.
We are at war. We have been in Pearl Harbour and we have been asleep, Darwin has been bombed, and now we are in the Battle of the Coral Sea. This battle will shape – as it did – the future of Australia. Australia is at risk in a way it has never been before. These issues we have talked about transcend all other issues. Today we have choices – choices at the ballot box and a choice with the marriage plebiscite – and they are choices that each of us must make before God.
There always was and always will be a spiritual battle going on until Christ comes. For now, in Australia, it seems to be more intense and I have sought to illustrate this intensity today. We have highlighted attitudes: being awake, to have an appropriate and continung sense of grief – mixed with joy, how to vote, and to be desperate in our personal relationship with God. Finally, with a call to be involved in this battle through prayer and to be prepared for the attacks that inevitably follow.
• Does it matter that governments legislate for evil?
• Does it matter if governments compel evil?
• Are these matters “defining issues” as to how I should vote for politicians or parties that have supported these matters? (And, if not, then what is a defining issue?)
• Is there a role for this church and for the body of Christ as a whole?
• Will these matters make a difference in my ordinary way of life? Will they make any difference as to how I spend my spare time?
• Will they make a difference as to my future directions, even occupation?
